New Car Launch | VW Anhui ID. 07 Rolls Off the Production Line – All-Electric Mid-Size Sedan with 558km Range, Rivalling Toyota bZ3

We recently learned that the electronic and electrical architecture co-developed by XPeng Motors and the Volkswagen Group has been successfully implemented, and the first model equipped with this architecture, the VW Anhui ID. 07 (see image), has officially rolled off the production line. As reported, the ID. 07 is the second model launched by VW Anhui following the ID. 06, and also its first sedan model, positioned as a pure electric mid-size car. According to previously declared information, the model has a pure electric driving range of 558 kilometers.

In terms of exterior design, the VW Anhui ID. 07 largely inherits the design language of the ID. 06. It features a through-type front light cluster, with large black air intake accents on both sides of the front bumper. On the body side, the wheel arches and side skirt areas of the new model have been given a blacked-out finish, and it comes with hidden exterior door handles.

At the rear, the VW Anhui ID. 07 features a through-type taillight cluster and is expected to come with an illuminated Volkswagen rear emblem, while the ID. 07 badge on the tailgate denotes its model identity. Furthermore, the model has been declared with two wheel size options – 19-inch and 20-inch – mated to tyre specifications of 235/50 R19 and 235/45 R20 respectively. For its overall dimensions, the ID. 07 measures 4853 mm in length, 1852 mm in width and 1566 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2826 mm

According to the previously declared information from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the VW Anhui ID. 07 is equipped with a single-motor powertrain with a maximum power output of 170 kW, which matches the maximum power of the single-motor variant of the ID. 06. In addition, the ID. 07 is fitted with a 59.9 kWh battery pack, delivering a pure electric driving range of 558 km (test cycle unknown).
