Looking at the sales trend this year, BYD is practically a shoo-in for China's annual sales championship—there’s barely any suspense left. Right now, automakers are going all out to prepare for 2026, and the latest batch of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) new car declaration catalog, released in December, hides 5 blockbuster new models from BYD. Expected to hit the market one after another in early next year, let’s see if any of them suit your taste!

declared all-electric version, Seal 07 EV (Specs | Inquiry), perfectly fills the product gap in the lineup. It inherits the marine-inspired design language, retaining the hidden door handles, while a lidar is mounted on the roof. In terms of dimensions, it’s roughly the same as the plug-in hybrid model, except that the width is increased by 10mm. Power-wise, it’s equipped with a 240kW single electric motor. Referring to the starting price of 149,800 RMB for the updated plug-in hybrid variant, the all-electric version is likely to be around 10,000 RMB more expensive—though the pleasant surprise of "the same price for EV and PHEV" cannot be ruled out!

The all-new B-segment sedan from BYD's Dynasty Series, Qin MAX, is also on the way—positioned slightly higher than the Qin L EV. It retains the iconic Dragon Face design language, with a larger chrome trim connecting the headlights as a key upgrade. In terms of dimensions, its body length is 146mm longer than the Qin L EV, reaching 4,866mm.

Power has been fully upgraded: the entry-level variant delivers 120kW, while the mid-to-high configurations boast 240kW—both more powerful than the Qin L EV. Additionally, optional badges such as "Da Qin" (Great Qin) and "Qin Ultra" are available for the rear end. The estimated starting price is expected to be slightly higher than the Qin L EV’s 119,800 RMB

The recently launched Seal 06 EV has now filed an application for its high-power variant. Retaining the original sleek design and split-headlight setup with no exterior changes, the key upgrade lies in its power performance—maximum power has been boosted from 180kW to 270kW, delivering a significant performance enhancement. The estimated price is around 170,000 RMB.

The Seal 06 lineup also has new moves: the Seal 06 GT adds a mid-range variant, offering two power options—200kW and 240kW—positioned between the current low and high configurations. Meanwhile, the refreshed Seal 06 EV features a revamped exterior with a more minimalist front and rear design. Its body length has been extended to 4,870mm, and the power parameters are consistent with the Qin MAX, making it highly likely a sibling model.

Among these 5 new models, only the Qin MAX belongs to BYD's Dynasty Network—all others are from the Ocean Network. It’s clear that BYD is launching a strong product offensive next year, and more new models from the Dynasty Network are certainly on the way. Every year, BYD’s new releases are the most anticipated, and we hope they’ll bring more surprises in terms of configurations and pricing. Which of these models do you think has the greatest potential to become a blockbuster?
