The Wuling Xingguang 560 was officially launched on January 15th. The new model comes in four variants, with a price range of RMB 62,800 to RMB 98,800. Built on the Tianyu Architecture D-Platform, the Wuling Xingguang 560 retains the "one vehicle, three powertrains" feature of the Xingguang 730, offering three options: fuel-powered, plug-in hybrid, and pure electric. As a compact SUV, it also boasts a wheelbase of 2,810 mm and is available in 5-seater or 7-seater configurations, providing consumers with a wide range of choices.

The Wuling Xingguang 560 can be regarded as the production version of the previous Hongguang Xia concept car, and it basically retains the rugged styling of the concept model in terms of exterior design. The fuel and plug-in hybrid variants feature a rectangular mesh grille, while the front bumper lower section showcases a rugged look with a trapezoidal anti-scratch skid plate; the pure electric variant, on the other hand, comes equipped with a combination of a closed grille and rectangular air vents. LED headlights with a double horizontal strip design are standard across the entire lineup, delivering excellent visibility when illuminated. In terms of body colors, the new model offers four options: Stellar Blue, Misty Gray, Silver Frost White and Obsidian Black.

Viewed from the side, the vehicle features a floating roof design paired with glossy black roof rails. Combined with the raised front and rear wheel arch lines, it delivers a distinct sense of layering. In terms of dimensions, the Xingguang 560 has a length, width and height of 4,745/1,850/1,755 (1,770) mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,810 mm, and 18-inch wheels come as standard across the entire range. Thanks to the hidden exhaust layout, the rear end maintains a consistent look across all three powertrain variants, boasting a streamlined and minimalist design aesthetic.
Moving inside the cabin, the new model continues the family-oriented design language of the Wuling Xingguang series. The front row adopts a wrap-around cockpit, available in two color schemes: Warm Sand Brown and Walnut Brown. A 12.8-inch infotainment display is embedded in the center console, integrated with the Ling OS system and compatible with smartphone connectivity functions including HiCar, CarLink and DLNA. The vehicle is equipped with a column-mounted gear selector, thus freeing up ample storage space in the center armrest area. In addition, the Xingguang 560 boasts a six-ring high-strength steel body structure, which includes 20 components made of 1500MPa hot-formed steel, with high-strength steel accounting for 74.9% of the total body material. Its front anti-collision beam and energy-absorbing box are constructed from 2.5mm-thick aluminum alloy.
The cabin is offered in either a 5-seater or 7-seater configuration. Mid-to-high trim variants come with faux leather upholstered seats and feature a power-adjustable driver’s seat. The backrests of the front seats can be fully reclined, creating a flat space together with the second row for temporary rest. The second-row seats also support backrest adjustment and a 40/60 split-folding function, with a maximum recline angle of 128°. In terms of storage capacity, the new model has a standard trunk volume of 763L, plus an additional 184L of hidden underfloor storage space. When the rear seats are folded down, the cargo capacity can be expanded to a maximum of 1945L. Additionally, there is a 32L hidden storage compartment under the rear seats.
In terms of powertrain, the fuel-powered variant is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine that delivers a maximum power of 130 kW and a peak torque of 290 N·m, mated to either a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) or a 6-speed manual transmission. The plug-in hybrid variant adopts Lingxi Power 3.0 technology, which combines a 1.5L engine with an electric motor, with maximum power outputs of 78 kW and 145 kW respectively. It achieves a CLTC all-electric range of 125 km, a WLTC combined range of up to 1,100 km, and a WLTC fuel consumption of only 5.3 L/100 km in charge-depleting mode.
The pure electric variant is equipped with a 100 kW integrated drive motor system and paired with a 60 kWh Shenlian Battery. It achieves a CLTC all-electric range of 500 km with an official power consumption of 13.6 kWh/100 km. Supporting 2C fast charging, it only takes 20 minutes to charge from 30% to 80% battery level and can add 200 km of range with just 15 minutes of charging. In terms of chassis, the new model adopts a front MacPherson strut and rear multi-link independent suspension setup.
With multiple powertrain options, a 7-seater variant and a starting price of under RMB 60,000, the Xingguang 560 has virtually no rivals in its class. After all, most models in the RMB 50,000–100,000 price range are compact SUVs. Among them, the BYD Yuan UP and Changan Qiyuan Q05 can be regarded as rivals to its pure electric variant, while the Geely BinYue and Jetour Dashing are competitors to its fuel-powered version. Although these models are roughly similar in price and may have certain advantages in terms of configuration, the Xingguang 560 definitely boasts a dominant edge when it comes to space performance.
